For more than two decades, Springfield Deer Farm has cared for countless fallow deer who are lucky enough to call this pocket of picturesque Tasmania home. Today, Springfield Deer Farm is home to more than 600 fallow deer.
Springfield Deer Farm is a free-range fallow deer farm situated at the base of the Mole Creek Karst National Park. Our rustic cottage and homestead provide a cosy retreat, while our location offers a wide selection of nearby attractions. We are passionate about our farm and produce and take pride in offering a unique and unforgettable experience.

We take great pride in our long and storied history in this breathtaking part of the world. For over 20 years we have played host to free-range deer who graze, prance and live out their tranquil days on the slopes of the Meander Valley.
Springfield Deer Farm is the ideal place to unplug, unwind and take in the natural beauty of Tasmania. We love sharing our knowledge about the environment, produce and local offerings, and we are only too happy to share suggestions about things to do and where you should explore to make your stay a memorable one.
Take in the sights of our farm’s surroundings which include a 100-year-old apple tree and a shy echidna. Or, if 130 acres of roaming fields isn’t enough to satisfy your wanderlust, our farm adjoins the national park and it’s only a short drive to explore the nearby spectacular caves.
